I remember calling him the first time when Dexter, my dog, was hit by a rickshaw outside Inorbit Mall. It was just one day after Diwali and Dexter was just 45 days old. Since it was the festive season, there were no doctors in town, everybody was on a vacation. Then I got the number of Dr. Gadge from a friend. I called him and he gave me temporary medicine to relieve him of pain. The doctor was coming back the next day, so I just had one night, the longest night of my life, to go through. The next day, Dexter was x-rayed and plastered upon diagnosing 3 cracks on his rear limb. I thought he'd never be able to walk properly again but thanks to Dr. Gadge, he can sprint like any labrador would.
This was almost six years ago.
Now, Dexter is a naughty 5 year old Lab, naughty and full of life as ever. Even today, Dr. Gadge is his vet. Modern Pets is a classic example of how hard work and perseverence that has paid off well. I remember the first time I visited this clinic, it was this one shop in Evershine Nagar converted into a clinic with a small pet store outside. Now its a proper clinic, with a nice reception, Air-conditioned, well maintained and a pleasant feel to the place. They have expanded and the pet shop is now a stand-alone shop.
The Service:
Like I said, Dr. Gadge is a person for the animals. Yesterday, I got a msg from the clinic, reminding me that Dexter's vaccination was due. I know some people must be thinking that he does that for business, and its nothing wrong even if he does. The only thing that matters to me is that there is someone who makes sure that my dog gets vaccinated on time.
His growth speaks of his service. It came to my knowledge today that he is expanding his clinic into an OPD and an Operation theatre, a one stop solution to all your pet needs.
I trust Dr. Gadge with Dexter's life. Thank You, Dr. Gadge and the entire staff of Modern Pets.
