?The punch line If Bhoot scared you, this will kill you.? If you go by the promos, Vaastu Shastra appears as a movie that could surely keep you holding the edge of the seats till the movie ends. Only, it didn?t happen.
The debutante director managed to keep the audiences shrieking once in a while before the intermission, but the movie lost its ?scary-element? in the later part of second-half. It could easily be said that the climax became more comical than scary. Nevertheless, excitement was palpable. The question ?what next? was still there in the minds but the abrupt and disappointing climax ruined it all.
Only if there was ?some? meaning, it would be a good movie, if not mind-blowing. However, there were some points in the movie that need to be credited ? the performances (specially the kid), the make-up, and the sound effects (though they over-did it in some parts). It could be said that for a first timer, Saurabh Usha Narang made a fairly neat attempt.
But as long as the story isn?t right, the director can never go right. Take my word ? If Bhoot scared you, this will be a piece of cake!
