IN MY OPINION:

We have watched many war movies in Bollywood where they have struggled to awaken the true patriotic in you. Just by watching a movie which involves Indian Army has not always made my patriotism alive in me. There are several factors which gives rise to an anger against the enemy and the love and respect that arises in you for your country. URI - The Surgical Strike has those contents that will make your blood boil since it is a true incident where we lost our brave martyrs. The film has a perfect blend of action sequences, a soldier spirit with a high josh and intent. This is Aditya Dhar's debut directorial film which is a great start to his career and of the Bollywood year 2019! Vicky Kaushal is the backbone of this movie as for his flawless performance as he rides the movie with a balance between strategy and josh.

URI will keep your butt sticked to the seat right from the start till the end. Every victory and loss is sure to give you an emotional ride. Sensitive people, please keep your handkerchief ready as you will need it the most.

STAR-CAST:

Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, Paresh Rawal, Anil George, Manish Chaudhary, Swaroop Sampat, Mohit Raina, Ujjwal Chopra, Abrar Zahoor, Vicky Arora, Adarsh Gautam, Padam Bhola and Sushil Dahiya.

PLOT OF THE MOVIE:

The story revolves around Major Vihaan Shergill ( Vicky Kaushal) who is highly trained soldier and is a master in attack strategies and returns after completing a successful mission. He decides to take a voluntary retirement since his mother is suffering from stage six Alzheimer. But, on knowing about his track record the prime minister offers him a desk job and he takes it. When he stays in Delhi with his mother, its the time when the Pakistani terrorist group attack the URI military camp. This incident makes him go back to the borders to plan out a surgical strike. The film has been shown in five different chapters taking you through the journey of the Indian military force and NSA. This surgical strike is said to be the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades.

The plot of the movie is the true winner.

PERFORMANCE:

Vicky Kaushal is the show stealer for his convincing performance as Major Vihaan Shergill. He is completely into the character and it is evident from his body language and all of the acts that he performs with ease. The rest of the cast have done justice to their roles as they weave the story together making it complete.

MUSIC:

The background score has been brilliant as it supports all the action and emotional drama sequences very well. The firings and blasts are sure to raise your adrenaline flow in your body.

CINEMATOGRAPHY:

Cinematography has perfectly maintained the balance between the action and strategy. The actions and VFX have been done with finesse giving a smooth finishing touch to the film making it stunning to watch on the big screen.

MY SUGGESTION TO YOU:

You may have seen numerous patriotic movies which shows the struggles and life of a soldier on our borders striving for justice and go to any extent for it. In such cases, you may end up liking the film for the intent behind the mission or maybe the way they executed the mission. But, mark my words, after watching this movie if anyone asks you "How's the Josh? ", your reply will be "High Sir".

Highly Recommended!

A Must Watch!
