Service is good but more to improvise. Affordable. Review on Urbancompany

The company offers all services under one umbrella such as beauty and spa at home, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, electricals, painting, pest control, etc.

The whole concept of Urban Clap surprised me in the beginning when it was introduced in Chennai in 2020. It's a dream come true for working class and homies who struggle to get repairs and deep cleaning done. It saved greatly from delayed or fail to show up carpenters, electricians and plumbers at the time of emergencies.

Pros:

Affordable, always available for service. They have good number of people at any given time. The service person follows etiquettes and doesn't waste time in unnecessary talking. We can book anytime and get our work done without much hassle. They do come in their uniform and on time. We can mention if we need the same resource of the previously done service. We pay the service charge initially which is a good thing, they buy products with bill which is easier to transact with them if anything to be purchased for the service. No hidden charges.

Cons:

The service person can be of different language which sometimes is a draw back but they are diligent workers. The cleaning items are not mandatorily provided by Urban Clap. They don't check if the person going for a service has complete clean kit while at work. But cleaning liquids are provided by Urban.

Beauty and Spa:

Someone who owns a parlour who is very clean and gentle does the home spa for me and I am extremely happy. I had taken head massage and foot reflexology which was excellent and eyebrows threading. She comes with complete kit and cleans everything without disturbing me. From 2020 till date I have continued with the same person. My neighbors use their service too.

Carpentry:

One went bad - fixing my mirror on the wardrobe door which broke after 2 weeks. He just stuck it with double tape and mentioned that he has done the same process to many houses and no complain so far. But other carpentry works like fixing kitchen draws were excellent with other service men. Fixing poles for hanging clothes were all done neatly.

Electrical works:

They did a good job. Had motor issue which was fixed well. Had to change lights and lines checked too. All good.

Toilet flush:

It was dysfunctional and it didn't get fixed in the first attempt and so the same person came again the next day and fixed the leak.

Overhead Water tank cleaning:

Its too expensive for one tank and so I called a local person and got it done for a lesser rate.

On the whole, I recommend you to see the feedback for each service each service person and then call them accordingly. If they don't do proper work you need to inform Urban Clap and so they won't send that person again to you.
