UPSC conducts exams for various coveted posts, include, All India services such as IAS, IPS, IFS and central govt services. UPSC is one of the few organisations which does not have corruption incidents. This owes to the sincere management and the constitutional protection to the Controlling body member. Otherwise political system would have tried to murky even this system.
One surprising thing is the transparancy in Civil Services selection process. Till date no one can tell you the exact process of selection from preliminary to the mains exams. Every person has their own stories. UPSC can make it public that what does really mean for a person to get into Mains If some one say that optional + GS and the ratio of applicants for the mentioned optional but this may not be correct also. declaring the process would unveil the transparancy of the system.
Here it may not be correct to say but I would like tell my MS pal Ramesh that UPSC has always given due importance to the national language Hindi. If you wish you can appear for the exam intereview every thing in Hindi and you even get question paper in Hindi. Where as other Schedule language candidates are allowed to write mains and Interview in their language with the help of translator and they don't get question paper in their language. Here the Hindi mother tongue candidates get advantage of better scoring. And this discremination should be avoided.
