Kashmir University is one of the main educational hubs of Kashmir from a long period of time. This institute has various attributions attached to it. This is the main university that affiliates all other colleges in Kashmir. It has the student strength of more than 20, 000 students with one of the India's biggest library.
This university offers admission in various programs from diploma to Phd level. The masters programmes of Kashmir University are tough and famous throughout the country.
What makes it more lively is its location. Situated just opposite to NIT Srinagar, it is located in lap of Himalaya on one side and famous Dal lake on the other. The Chinars and the Taj Mahal like Dargah on the banks of Dal lake makes it eloquent.
