The movie addresses one of the most critical issues for all South Asian specifically and the world generally. Please read the theme and salient ideas below: South Asia has been a laboratory for indigenous and foreign elements to do all sorts of political and military experiments. Our political and military forces, directly or indirectly, have been affecting our lives. Maddening militarization throughout the region is nothing but serving the agenda of vested interest groups taking away hard earned meager resources from people. Militarization has, in no way, helped the people of the region. Their security and existence have always been threatened. We, as people, have been playing in the hands of unscrupulous crook politicians and generals who never hesitated to sell us out to whoever was interested in buying. We, have been victims of mass exploitation countless times by our masters from within and from outside. We have served their agenda inadvertently or intentionally. The mental apathy of our dynamic people appalled me. I had this driving need to raise awareness, especially within us who are not part of the English language media, intellectual circles, or drawing room tea-talks. There was an absolute necessity to make them realize the urgent need to educate ourselves about the realities and to inspire them to want to get up and bring about a change that will lead to their freedom from the grip of military rule, especially in Pakistan, where there is a continued thrust to legitimize the military's role in politics, and keep increasing their role in business affairs, as well as in all the other sectors of life for that matter. I suggest through this project that: a. Greater South Asian region is established along the lines of European Union where free trade and free movement within all countries in the region prevails. b. Besides Bangla Desh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka; Iran, China and Afghanistan should be part of Greater South Asia c. institutions are built and strengthened d. Middle class is expanded and strengthened and ABOVE ALL e. Education base is expanded to make it available for every citizen regardless These are the minimal steps we must take if we want to survive, live gracefully with a sense of a purpose.
