HUSH and SMOKE ON THE WATER(Deep Purple):
Deep Purple, along with the well known Led Zeppelin(do I need to say anything else), constituted the idea of Hard Rock. Hits like Black Night, Hush, Child In Time and Smoke On The Water with its terrific riff led Deep Purple to an amazing amount of success in the U.K and America. The Band has just recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary and they are still going strong.
Deep Purple is very famous among the College-goers even now.They could be considered as a mixture of Jazz and Metal.This band could be said as the influential God Father of Heavy Metal.
UNFORGIVEN-2(Metallica):
This is arguably one of the very good Riffs produced by Metallica.This song is the sequel of The Unforgiven from the Black album.This song still makes me go 'What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone.'
LEMON TREE(Fools Garden):
When the guitarist Volker Hinkel and the singer Peter Freudenthaler founded the band'Fool’s Garden' in 1991, they couldn't really have figured what a great success their song'Lemon Tree'(also known as the lazy man's song) would have had in 1996. This megahit conquered the charts all around the world and, even nowadays, it's always played and sung along everywhere.Besides'Dreaming', '25 Miles To Kissimmee' and 'Lemon Tree' they haven't made any notable performances.Lets hope that they come up with more classical performances sooner rather than later.
ONE(Metallica):This stars off with a slow solo performance by James Hetfield.The Brilliant performance by Lars Ulrich, the founder of the band also the Drummer is mind blowing.This man really forces you to throw your head up and down.
FADE TO BLACK and RIDE THE LIGHTNING(Metallica):
Fade to black might have started out slowly with once again solo Performance by James Hetfield and then the beats provided by Lars.Ride the Lightning.aw this song is a must listen for its superb delivery and awesome music.
NUMBER OF THE BEAST(Iron Maiden):
This is the song that started it all.Iam talking about my craze towards death Metal.If this song seems new to you then you are not an avid listener of rock.
SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT(Nirvana):
This is one the many good songs of Nirvana.Please listen to it if have not listened to their other songs.
SEVENTH SON OF THE SEVENTH SON(Iron Maiden): Another gem produced by Iron Maiden.
COMFORTABLY NUMB, COMING BACK TO LIFE(Pink Floyd) and Another Brick In The Wall(Pink Floyd):
I've talked so much about Pink Floyd in my other Reviews so please read them
Whiskey in the Jar(Metallica):
It might seem that I've been repeating Metallica so many times.But yes metallica are sure worth so many mention.
Riders on the Storm(Doors):
When I first heard about Doors and Jim Morrison(no offence but) I thought oh crap I've got to listen to anoter old Junk from america . I am a relative new to The Doors and have a few albums of their's.It could have been because of the ignorance to Classical Rock.This song is a worth mention.The doors might be known for playing Blue Note but this song is an exception for its beautiful guitar performance.
BORN TO RAISE HELL(Morthead):
From the album'Bastards' and the'Airheads'.I do not know much about this band.
Paranoid(Black Sabbath) & IRON MAN(Black Sabbath):
Black Sabbath debuted in 1970, so they're probably one of bands you listen to that you're parents/teachers have heard of, can tolerate, and maybe even grew up listening to. Black Sabbath also saw the beginning of a guy named Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy would be fired from the band later in the 1970's, but he formed his own band, which was equally as successful. Plus, the work he did with BS earned him the title of'heavy metal's godfather.'
Probably at least 90% of modern metal bands were somehow influenced by them. Granted, Led Zeppelin were probably the band to give birth to heavy metal, but Sabbath are just as responsible for influencing most bands.
'Paranoid' might be the catchiest song the album. It's very fast paced with groovy guitars(which chug in the verses), has good vocal hooks and a short but sweet solo is tossed in at the end.
'Iron Man' opens with a few thumping drums, then a world famous and very catchy guitar riff. The first four words are spoken with a robotic voice, and then the music changes to echo the vocals and https://lyrics. There's some more good, driving drumming here, but I think this guitar solo is the best on the album.
DU HAST(Rammstein):The relative new comer to the rock world is the German based Rammstein.Although they mostly make songs in german they are recogonised world over.This band debuted with Herzeleid in 1995 and got themselves recogonised by this particular song in Sehnsucht.This song is really great.
Mr Tinkertrain(Ozzy Osbourne):
He admits that'No More Tears' was the first album he had ever done sober, and the album has a totally different feel than anything he released previously. It is a combination of soft ballads, such as'Momma I'm Coming Home' to upbeat, hard rocking songs like'hellraiser'.
'Mr. Tinkertrain' discusses child molestation issues.This song is really cool.
Please feel free to add some songs to this list if you want to.
