We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. But it sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities, but its own talents.
Memoirs have been drafted on the pages of history by a young bunch of small town boys. They have begotten some happy moments which all Indians will cherish for their life time. They did it because they had passion to do something, they had confidence to prove themselves, they had daring to challenge world champions and they had guts to face the world. They had intense desire to grab the top spot; they created opportunities for them and now their deeds are written on golden pages.
The achievement is far more admirable than we consider as most of the guys are not from any well equipped training camp running in any metro but they represent the bunch of normal street boys. They play cricket as their hobby. The game is a craze for them. They see some dreams although they don’t have any idea as how to accomplish them. They didn’t have any godfather and they didn’t have very supportive family as well. The only thing they have is, the “CONFIDENCE”, confidence on their talent, confidence in their approach and confidence in their dreams. They chase that dream with their stretched hard work, continuous dedication, undying commitment and a very positive approach. It’s always nice to see such great passion and a precious outcome. We should feel proud to salute our Heroes as they are eye openers for each n every boy of this country regardless of their economical / social / regional situation. They roared at the top level and everyone sitting at home dreams that he can also do the same. They provide the confidence which is in deep slumber.
A small child playing football in a small town called Ranchi would have never thought to lift a world cup at that time. He did best in whatever came his way. He performed brilliantly in all his deeds. He was friendly with everybody and same time he was much focused on his goals. All these things combined with his hard work, dedication and commitment made him the skipper of Indian Twenty20 Cricket Team and rest is history. The story is almost same for another small town boy from Rai Barely. His friends used to say that you can win matches for our colony but they never knew that he can win matches for our country as well. He started his journey from a small place but his dreams were big. He had talent and he made opportunities for himself. When the time came to deliver his caliber he did no mistake. He crumbled the wickets with his pace and made a place for himself in the history of Indian Cricket. Story continues for many others. A boy from Kochi blazed the top squad of Australians and after that he showed his aggression by hitting the pitch. He made them think that this is not mere luck but this is what we are going to do with them in future also. We felt that this is what we’re missing in Indian squad till date. Fearless approach of these guys made Indians feel proud about their team. They provided the kind of passion we wanted in our team. Their enthusiasm on field was enough to challenge any big opponent. They don’t carry the burden of expectations but they feel excited with the overwhelming support.
This victory is more joyous as it gives a reason to rejoice not only to cricket lovers but each and every Indian. The reach of this sport has broken the barriers of gender / region, may be the very first time. We can see women also screaming along with men. We can see the celebration in Kochi and also in Rai Bareli. People in north east part of India also celebrated this triumph. People are more attached to this format as it’s more exciting and takes less time which they can afford. I see a very bright future for this game and I also see India as a leading team in this format of the game.
Premature development of the powers of both mind and body leads to an early grave.
It is said that reaching at top is easy but maintaining is tough. I do agree with this. Our guys have reached the top level now they need to think as how to maintain it. They got all the praise for their fabulous job now they need to continue this excellent momentum. They shouldn’t allow this proud feeling to come in the way of their continuous performance after all that is the key of all praise and success. We all hope that these players will not repeat the same mistakes which we have done in past. Let’s ride confidently, let’s play brilliantly, let’s show more courage and let’s make more celebrations.
