This is in reference to my vehicle TVS JUPITER registration number MH47V8927 which has been with the service center most of the time since I purchased it. Below are the details of my vehicle:-

I am having a problem with an initial pickup in my vehicle from the date of purchase. I had visited Ashtavinayak TVS Service Centre, Goregaon East with the issue and was informed by an executive that it will be resolved on my 1st servicing. I got my 1st service done from Ashtavinayak TVS Service Centre, my problem with the vehicle still persisted. They told me to replace some parts viz. Clutch Belt, Roller, etc. I got these parts replaced for which I paid out of my pockets, but my problem was not resolved. They tried to resolve the problem but failed each and every time.


After a few days, my friend informed about Hare Krishna TVS Service Centre, Kandivali West stating they might help resolve my bikes issue. I went there with the same problem and discussed the issue with Mr. Ajay at Hare Krishna TVS Service Centre. He said that he'll check the vehicle and get back. Next day I received a call from Hare Krishna TVS Service Centre they said that it is an integrity issue and you have to raise this complaint in TVS Motor Company. I called the customer service of TVS Motor and shared each and everything with the executive over the call in return he gave me a Complaint Number - 130937. After raising the complaint with TVS Motor I received a call from Mr. Sagar Shroff(marked in CC) he said that he'll get back once he checks the vehicle.


They kept my vehicle at Hare Krishna TVS Service Center for more than 15 days, in which they replaced service kit viz. Air Filter, Carburettor, etc. but my problem wasn't resolved. After two days again I got a call from Hare Krishna TVS Service Centre(HKTSC) and I was informed that my vehicle is ready, this time they changed my Clutch Shoe, Spark Plug and Servicing Kit, but still issue was the same. At this point Mr. Sagar Shroff personally visited HKTSC and checked my vehicle and got the accelerator cable replaced the problem persisted to my surprise this time HKTSC overcharged me with additional parts, but that is not mentioned in their records and I came to know about it only now when I went to HKTSC with the same issue. Mr. Sagar Shroff himself compared my Vehicle with the other TVS JUPITER and found that the problem was not resolved.


One of the Managers named Mr. Rupesh at HKTSC asked me for 2 days time for getting the problem rectified. I received a call from Mr. Rupesh exactly 2 days later and was informed that my vehicle is ready. I went down at HKTSC to check my vehicle. I took a test ride and that time I felt that finally my issue has been resolved. However, after 2 weeks my vehicle's rear tyre got jammed where it nearly led to an accident but by God's grace, I escaped. Now the initial pickup problem started again. I called Mr. Rupesh but he did not attend my call after which I called HKTSC with my grievance they arranged for a technician visited my residence and checked the Vehicle took it to HKTSC.


The very next day he came to my place along with the Vehicle stating the problem is resolved. When asked what was the issue he said that my clutch bolt was loose and they tightened it. He gave me the surety that the issue is resolved. After a few days the problem started again and this time I met with an accident at Ram Mandir Road, Goregaon, my rear tyre got jammed and it skid. Luckily there wasn't any vehicle speeding up behind my bike else it would have been a major accident. This time I raised a complaint in TVS Motor Company with Ref. No. - 136427. I clearly stated that I don't need this vehicle anymore, either you get it replaced with the same model(Jupiter) else I need my money back because it's an integrity issue being incidental and Life-Threatening, I no longer wish to keep this bike as I don't want to lose my Life.


I have not been able to work or eat properly after the last incident. This time I got a call from Mr. Saish ASM at TVS Motor Company he said that he'll be assisting me in this case and he'll help me get it replaced or else to get my money back. Yesterday I got a call from Mr. Sagar Shroff he stating that he can neither replace my vehicle nor refund my money back and I have to come to terms with this defective bike.


I'm unable to believe TVS can be negligent about my issue and further to that they can't resolve the issue nor get me a replacement. I have 2 more TVS bikes in our family.


i) TVS JUPITER( Belonging to my uncle with Registration No: MH-47 Z1766)


ii) TVS NTORQ(Belonging to my uncle with Registration No: MH-47 AK0493)


The above 2 bikes are working perfectly fine. In fact the other TVS Jupiter(with Registration No: MH-47 Z1766) was bought only 1 month after I bought my bike and that has no issue I can clearly find the difference in the working of the 2 Jupiters so can the tvs service center mechanics but no one at tvs is willing to take the responsibility and everyone is just making me go around from one technician to another and one manager to another. Yet again my bike is repaired as per the service center which is hard to believe! As now i don't want this bike as my family is adamant of not allowing me to ride this piece of scrap for which I paid ₹83, 952/- of my families hard earned money.


It is a big shock for us because I nearly saw death in front of me twice due to the manufacturing defect in the TVS Jupiter that I bought I have had sleepless nights and was unable to concentrate on work or life due to the incidents. I have wasted many days going to the service center and getting it repaired which incurred further expenses on my family but still, the issue remains the same. I'm hoping tvs give me a replacement or full refund as I paid for a brand new Jupiter and not a defective, life taking Jupiter. I have already approached the NCH with regards to the issue and soon will be filing a legal case against tvs motor for duping their customer at the cost of living. This was never expected from tvs motor co. whose brand ambassador is Amitabh Bachchan.


All this while my efforts are going in vain and on deaf ears. I feel like burning the bike rather than taking a huge risk of riding it. I need justice or I will take extreme actions if forced.
