Everybody(My friends) were against me in buying this bike. Lots of remarks like, there wont be resale value, auto clutch features comes with a price to pay.i wont make it past 10000 kms, without problems. Well I like trying out things. To say to myself, okay i'm a bit different from others. May be I'll fail, but i'd be happy since its my own idea that failed, and not someone else's. Okay enough with the class.
I bought Jive in 2010 Oct. And after 2+ years and 17000kms, I can say one word for Jive. "Awesome". Okay I agree that its not a racing bike. but I always go at 60-70 speed and its never failed me in this period. Good handling in city is an added boon. I see so many people telling about low mileage, going down to even 30. Guys come on, do you expect to get 60+ if you accelerate the bike from low speed at 4th gear. I have seen many, who does this.the normal usage is just like a car. start from 1st gear(even though u can from 4th). at 10km/hr, move to 2nd gear, 20 move to 3rd and 40 move to 4th gear. YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET 60 mileage.
It's a challenge. I am getting a whopping 61 mileage. No bluffing. Only issue that I face is the noisy engine, when we go past 80+. Other than that, look wise, performance wise, and maintenance wise, it's served me quite well. Kudos to TVS and please do come out with higher CC bikes of this idea as well.
Thanks TVS
