I was born and brought up in Turkey. Well believe me it is a friendly, beautiful, cultured and is economical as compared to other countries and it is a very modern and yet very traditional too. Turkey is on the first 20 travel destination of the world. According to the reports there are about tens of millions of tourist visiting turkey every year the Cultures and Arts of Turkey is one of the oldest dating back to 25,000 years
I am a Seljuk Turk with blue eyes and red hair. I was brought up in Istanbul (Islam-bol), the Capital of empires for more then 1600 years, and it's still Turkey's largest, richest and most interesting city. One who lives in Istanbul never forgets to visit the Blue Mosque at least 3 times a week it is so very pleasant and beautiful and so bright ,i miss all of them now-a-days and some of the places I miss is the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar these are also equally beautiful..
I Remember enjoying its splendid natural situation, surrounded by water usually sat at a sidewalk cafe sipping Turkish tea or coffee, Dine on savory Turkish cuisine and you'll realize why it's my favorite city in all the world.
The only thing that is very disturbing about my country is about its attitude towards religious freedom though we are a secular country and 99% Muslim yet limited freedom as compared to other european states and all the pro-kemalist are corrupt.
Well those who are planning to go to turkey please do so you will really enjoy and not to forget the apple juice some may give you for free and tea with friends
And one more thing there is a thing called Nazar Bonjuk which is used for saving from black magic. well it is widely available in turkey. it is similar like in India (nazar )
Next time you land in Turkey don't forget the Nazar Bonjuk
The best season is coming Ramadan probably one of the best when we all had come together and break the fast ,the city is much more quite and the markets are cheaper (its usually high) in Ramadan
