Well folks, I will not keep the suspense for long. The surprise is definitely not for this album getting 5 stars. It deserves them..
So, whats the surprise??? Before that, let me tell you all something about this movie:
Name: Tumsa Nahin Dekha
Director: Anurag Bose
Music Directors: Nadeem-Shravan
Lyrics: Sameer
Well, the music directors are Nadeem-Shravan. ''So, whats the big deal???'' one might ask.
Ok folks, the surprise here is that there is neither Kumar Sanu nor Alka Yagnik AT ALL in this album (For those not in the know, K Sanu and A Yagnik are NS' favourite singers). This is easily the biggest surprise for NS' fans..
Over a decade, there has been atleast a solo Kumar Sanu or an Alka Yagnik song in each and every album of NS... But TND is an exception...
So, is the product hampered by the absence of two wonderfully gifted singers?? The answer is an EMPHATIC NO...
Read on...
- Yeh Dhuan Dhuan
(Roopkumar Rathod, Shreya Ghoshal):
The start to this album is excellent, to say the least. NS try out something different with this and it works out superbly. The piano is too good. Roopkumar Rathod exercises superb control over his vocals. Shreya complements him perfectly. The orchestra is excellent too.
Rating: 10/10
- Bheed Mein
(Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal):
This song is one of the best tracks in this album. A sad song which is sung so wonderfully by Udit and Shreya that it is repeated on Side B without any changes!!!.
''Bheed mein, tanhayee mein, dard mein, ruswayee mein, mujhe tum yaad aate ho''. Sameer's lyrics are so touching. However, I did miss Kumar Sanu here. This song was tailor-made for him. But no offence to Udit. He is good too.
Rating:10/10
- Mujhe Tumse Mohobbat
(Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal):
After two excellent songs, there was bound to be some decline and it comes in the form of this song. The lyrics are ok. Its the music which helps it to be above average. The rendering by Shaan and Shreya is good.
Rating: 7/10.
- Maine Soch Liya
(Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal):
Finally!!!! A typical Nadeem-Shravan track which means that the drums are back in vogue!!! An excellent track rendered wonderfully by both the singers.. ''Whatever happens, I have decided that I will love ONLY YOU.'' Ok, Sameer!!!!
Rating:10/10
- Yeh Dhuan Dhuan
(Instrumental):
This one is by renowned pianist Richard Clayderman. Its very soothing. An excellent end to Side A.
Rating:10/10.
- Woh Humse Khafa Hai
(Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal):
An excellent beginning to Side B. The drums are back again albeit at a slower pace.
''We are both cross with each other but I still want to talk to her.'' Udit is fantastic. Shreya is not far behind. My favourite track in this wonderful album.
Rating: 10/10 (Obviously!!!)
- Dhanak Ka Rang
(Shreya Ghoshal):
A solo Ghoshal track in a NS album!!! Times are changing.... But Ghoshal renders well and doesnt disappoint.. Sameer's lyrics sync well with the music.. The theme is that the gal is happy that she has found her love and feels she is in seventh heaven....
Rating:8/10.
8.Tanhaiyan
(Sonu Nigam):
A solo by Sonu in a NS album is always going to be special and so is this track. It has much more modern beats. Well compiled by NS and well rendered by Sonu...
Rating:9/10
9.Bheed Mein
(Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal):
As already said, this song is repeated. But nobody is complaining here. Its that good a song..
Rating:10/10
- Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat
(Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal):
Nope. This is not a repetition (except the https://lyrics. Actually, even here some words are added). This is a remix version one has seen on TV. Its fast, its pacy, its good!!! Remixed by DJ Aqeel. Well done, mate..
Rating:8/10
Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin, Kasoor and now Tumsa Nahin Dekha.. NS always deliver for the Bhatt camp and this album reinstates the fact....
Ratings AND Comments are eagerly awaited....
