Internet has gone a long way since it's evolution in 1960's from ARPANET till today.From sending files to exchanging information about particular thing Internet has been there for all our need.
E-mail's came to be used by common people to exchange information with each other by sending text,photo's videos and what not.
Then came in Chat which provided real time communication between people of various nations who could log on to a particular site and discuss various issue or simply pass time.
But the chat room has some draw back's which lead to the evolution of Messenger.
So how did messenger come to use and why was it developed
Chat rooms were filled with various people and all began exchanging text and information with people who were not interested in this.Some people came to chat room to chat with their friends and relatives but were not able to find peace while chatting as many others also wanted to join the discuss.Chat room provided options like Ignore user but still something was missing.How many of them could we simply keep ignoring.
So Messenger service was finally developed for people who only wanted to exchange information with in office,among friends and relatives It provided space for only two people to join and have a talk when no one else would disturb.
Add only those names whom you want to chat with and when they are on-line you can chat with them.
This is why messenger is gaining importance and many people use it instead of chatting through chat rooms.

So what is Trillian, and why should it be used
Trillian is a famous plug-in available on the net as a free ware from https://trillian.cc or https://ceruleanstudios.com/ .
Trillian is a plug-in for all the famous messenger which are AOL,IRC,ICQ,MSN and Yahoo.
So what does this mean, ''it's a plug-in?''.
Well using Trillian you can indicate your on line presence using only one type of software and you don't have to have all the messenger to indicate to your friends that you are On-line.
Some of your friends may be using ICQ,some IRC,some MSN and some Yahoo! and AOL.So instead of having all the messenger on your Computer just have Trillian on your computer and you have chat will all your friends using all these messenger.Now isn't that good?
So how do you use Trillian
After you download the software,open the Trillian messenger.It will ask you for your various account informations so that it can put you on-line using this information.
Provide the software with information.Click on the Earth like picture on the screen and select preference to select and configure it to your taste.
After you have provided it with the information just click on the Computer like Logo on the top of the screen and select Global Reconnect.
The messenger will try and connect itself to your various accounts and when you are online it will highlight the logo to which you are connected.
Trillian will automatically ask you to import your friends list from various account so that you can chat with you friends right on.
You can also select the option Connect by right clicking on your Trillian logo on the taskbar and select connection>Global Reconnect.
Now keep checking the screen to check if you have any new mail.Trillian will notify you about your new mail and if any new friend has added you to you contact list.
Remember it's just a plug in
Although Trillian doesn't provide with further option which your ICQ messenger provides, but it does provide minimum option which you need to just chat with your friends.So don't expect much from it.
It can download your Friend's list,help you ignore new user on your list,delete the user,check for mails on all your accounts, but think no further.
You can skin it up
Trillian can be made to look good by downloading various skins from it's web site and getting new updates.
Windows XP 1.23 is the skin I would recommend to all of you.It really makes the messenger look good.
