Our Glorious Journey with Travel Triangle!
Travel Triangle- Where should I start! Well to my astonishing experience I would like to tag the 3 sides of their triangle with deception, inexperience and failure. It is unfortunate to say that one of my colleague’s friend works there and we are very unhappy with the immaculate(sarcastic) service provided by them. First of all, the auction itself takes your time while 3 agents keep on bidding for your money at stake to be cheated at the end. I mean what sort of company says “Our aim is to satisfy our travelers by providing fully customized packages and ensuring open and fair transaction for all”. Yet at the end when the transactions are in move they forget who you are. They are open for sure and fair in cheating you in every manner possible while ensuring you have the worst time of your life.
After 2 weeks of negotiations and continuous phone call with travel agents we managed to book a trip to Corbett National Park including the resort, bus and the safari package included for 65K in total. Out of which we were asked to pay 10k in advance for hotel booking and the rest to be dealt with when we reach there. On top of that we were told that we won’t be charged for whatever services we don’t use in case of circumstances against us.
Day 1- Commute to Jim Corbett at night
Introducing Ajay, the driver in a very dramatic role. He kept on whining about every damn thing the whole way to and fro while making sudden stops and cutting at nicks and corners of vehicles on the road acting like Michael Schumacher. Also the bus stopped midway when we left from Garjiya Devi Temple and the reason was said to be that there was no diesel. Who in the right state of mind has to travel into such areas without any fuel in the tank when you know the vicinity is filled with wild animals from the adjacent jungle. On which the driver went out to get fuel 10kms away. We kept on asking him in due course of time that when will he return but he disconnected our calls every single time. We tolerated that too; and when we got worried we asked the travel agent that the driver went out to get fuel and didn’t return for almost 2 hours on which the agent told us that he met with an accident and they’re sending a replacement bus to cater to us and drop us back to the resort. Out of the blue in just 10mins time while we were waiting in the dark, the driver approaches with fuel and says why did we call his agent.
Was the agent sure his fellow had an accident, or was the driver lying to us. It’s a very tough mystery for which Sherlock Holmes should have been alive. Humor needs to be here as we had suffered concussions due to the rock solid seats and his annoying demeanor. I forgot to add, the bus had no recliner seats, with air conditioner acting as a water cooler, sprinkling water on us all through the journey. The driver for the shuttle was the most obnoxious and indecent person ever to be allowed to drive as he was drunk, riding the bus like a maniac and also he asked us to get him a cigarette, in a very abrupt and rude manner while driving. Let me quote his exact line, “Bhaiya kisi ke paas cigarette hai, nahi hai to aap le aao, gaadi ka hand brake kharaab hai, maine pakad ke rakha hai”. On this we came to a conclusion, after brainstorming on his epic return, that the driver did have an accident with his mouth crashing against a bottle of alcohol due to which he lost course of time, and common sense. I mean what sort of a person acts like this when you are catering to the needs of people representing a company of more than 4000 employees. Anyways talking about time he went to a time portal and thought it was 7 pm while we were stuck in a time zone of 9pm IST for which he quoted “jaldi kya hai, abhi to 8pm bhi nahi huve”. By this time most of us had lost patience and sanity to talk to him.
We also got a call from him when we reached back our rooms, saying “Bhaiya peene ko kuch hai” on which we had no clue how to react to him and hung up the phone.
Sad to say this is just the interval to a long story…. so keep on reading for a bit as it gets way more interesting ahead folks.
Day 2- Safari Trouble
Remember we were asked to pay 10K in advance against the resort booking by Mr. Ashish but later on when we were supposed to depart for the safari early morning, we came to a sudden enlightening moment that we paid for the safari booking instead(non-refundable) for which we got no receipt, no intimation on cancellation charges or for that matter anything related to it except the word from the agent.
So basically, we were told that we would not be paying for services we don’t use by our agent Mr. Ashish who cheated us by money laundering against wrong terms on top of which he quoted one of our female superior in a very rude and abrupt manner saying” Aap kaun hotey ho hamari image bigadne wale, ye mat bhulo ki aap abhi bhi Corbett mein hee ho”. Who in the world talks to a female like that and the audacity of the person deserves a medal of honor. Mr. Ashish should actually learn how to talk to females and should resign from his post as he is not eligible to tackle situations except the ones involving money laundering. Once again no receipt, no proof was given for the same so I insist on the people reading this post that please do not use any services related to Travel Triangle as they have not taken any action on anything.
Finally, after all the hurdles we jumped on to our final destination reaching Delhi on which the driver after dropping a few people at Akshardham forgot to take a turn after Dhaula kuan and went on to Karol Bagh and said he won’t go any further while the Bus Agent Vicky also came and said “Metro se chale jao”. If anyone is paying for services that too on recommendation of a company that deals with Travel agents, they would not expect the result to be of this sorts. The only single thing which needs an admiration was the Resort manager and the way they operated. Thanks to Gajraj Trails Resort
In short we(quoting the group) would like to quote it in fine line as a pathetic experience and will never recommend this travel site to anybody. You guys have many agents to call and sell packages but nobody to talk to when there is a dissatisfaction or a need of the people you are catering to. Hospitality is the need of the hour for you guys which you guys are not even aware of while dealing with your clients who might have brought a few more people at your doorsteps.
I would be highly obliged now to introduce the team involving all the people involved in this trip turned into a massacre.
