So this is how our trip went. We paid 50% at the time of reservation and they quickly made flight reservations, which was good. They continously called me for the balance payment to block hotels. Next, they sent me the hotel names and all the hotels were shady places with 1-star ratings.
So I gave my preferred hotels and one Mr.Dheeraj accepted to book them and even said they were booked. He asked me to call hotels and check. But no, no hotels had a reservation. I had to continously call for 2 weeks and no one would answer the call. They will tell me once in a while with great irritation that the hotel was booked.
Finally, we landed in Ahmedabad and here comes the twist. It was Sunday morning 6.30 AM. The driver said he was asked to take to Hotel Swagat. Then we couldn't find the place. So when we called Preeti who was taking care of our case, she said Metro Inn and sent a number. But that Metro Inn was in Rajasthan and we were in Gujarat. Then she said it was Metro Park. And that was in another corner...
All this took 2 hours of our precious morning because we had only one day for that city. And the hotel was very bad, but we took it anyway because we needed to use the restroom. They sent me the car I requested, which is good. But since they had not paid the cab person, they refused to drive us further from Porbander and we stood in the middle of the road at 12 noon. It's not the cab person's mistake. It's purely because of non-payment by travel agency.
Then at Somnath, the hotel did not allow us to check out because payment was due.
At Vadodara, the cab person again refused to drive us back to Ahmedabad because payment had not been made. We lost 2 hours there as well. All through my trip, I had to make calls continously for payment to different vendors just so I could continue my trip. We were 4 women travelling with three being senior citizens. Standing on the road was not a good thing, especially at that age. This was what I feared when people said payment was due and that happened exactly. One saving grace was, the driver was very good so we could see everything as per plan. Otherwise, please stay away from this company unless you want to spend your trip calling people at all odd hours.
During our trip, we met groups from different travel houses and none of them faced any issues. I have taken contacts of the other travel agencies and I would never ever go with this again.
