I am a big fan of movies like this. To be more precise I like and love the movies that motivate one to do something in life.

No matter where you are, what you are, and what you've been doing till this moment. All that matters is what you will do now and where you want to head. This movie is just all about what I just said. The movie starts with a bang. Not actually a bang, the bestie of the lead actor walks up to him in the very beginning. He makes his way into a building in the DONGRI neighborhood. Yes, he is using words that make him(supporting actor) sound like he was born and brought up there.

Farhan Akhtar as Ajju Bhai/Aziz Ali is an extortionist as the movie begins with a bang. A guy under his protection area is thrashed. He then goes to the restaurant and thrashes that guy, his guys(goons), takes his bike(culprit's bike). Then he meets the lead actress who's an actress. If nothing else she asks what and how he got hurt. He says in a twisted manner that he went as a goon himself, a ruffian to settle the score. She throws him out of the room. Then after some days he just helps someone who is trying to box. On the other hand, when Farhan Akhtar gets a blow he just returns the same and the boxer in the opposite corner falls flat on the ground. The boxer then utters this to his ears, Energy hai Bhai!

This is when the movie takes an interesting turn. He starts watching videos of Mohammed Ali the greatest. He is moved by it so much that he gets into a ring against a player of the best coach in Mumbai. Ajju Bhai has the strength but had no luck with the techniques. Farhaan Akhtar gets knocked out cold after the fighter is instructed by Paresh Rawal aka Nana Prabhu. The hero then tries to get himself enrolled and trained under the best.

But Nana Prabhu is a guy that doesn't give in easily. He asks what Ajju Bhai you do for a living. In his own manner, he tries to explain but he is a smart person who understood that he's a ruffian. And asks him to come to the academy. Seeing his dedication Nana trains him. But he is allergic to Muslims anyway. Still, after a lot of hard work, Ajju Bhai reaches the State level championship. And after a few blows, the opponent is blown out cold which is a KO.

The same night when both the teacher and the student try to celebrate with a glass of drink. Nana asks who's the girl whom he's been talking to. He asks if it's serious or just time pass. Farhan Akhtar confesses that it's a serious relationship and he will marry the girl eventually. But Nana is shocked to hear that the girl comes from another caste. He advises our Hero to stay out of it before it becomes a hot piping mess. But Nana is even more shocked to hear that the girl is not only from another caste but also is a doctor. He breaks into laughter when he learns that the girl is a doctor. Saying how can a guy like you land such an educated girl from not just other caste but a medical professional. He then out of anxiousness asks where she works and what's her name. But unfortunately, nobody knew that the heroine would be the daughter of the hero's coach himself. On the other hand, Paresh Rawal slaps him and throws him out of the room calling him a lowlife. Furious to know the answers he goes to see the lead actress. Things get ugly here, while in the house when his father Nana Prabhu enters being angry about the matter, The actress takes the name of the guy saying I just saw him. Again things get pretty ugly here while the daughter leaves her home to be with his beloved!

Both Ajju and his doctor move into the place where the hero resides. A lot of people have questions and issues regarding that. But the hero strongly defends her side and being as strong as he is in a ring. He then starts to wander from place to place to look for a new place to live as the place is no good for both of the lovers. He finally comes across a house that has a deposit of almost a million rupees and rent 80k. He doesn't have that so leaving that to its place he leaves for the national championship as he won the state championship.

There he is approached by a guy who offers him 1.2 million rupees, our boxer takes it with the thought of giving a better life to his would-be wife. And loses the match. The match is lost simply to make up for the rent and deposit. He took a bribe for match-fixing and he is according to boxing rules banned from boxing.

Going back to his old life which he had left, he takes up a job as a cabbie. Works hard and now has a decent life after 5 years has a daughter which he calls Tuk Tuk. His wife won't agree that he quits boxing and so she heads to the boxing federation to get his license back. She even gets it but while on the way back from there she dies in a stampede.

This again gives a fatal blow to the hero, and he decided to go for the match. This time national championship. He is out of shape but he knows to cut it to qualify. He is taunted by people and other boxers for taking a bribe. But he is a sportsman and concentrates on his match only.

This movie even gets better when the finals for the national championship begin. As the guy in his opposite corner is someone who can tear the punching bag with a single blow. Farhan Akhtar has to do a lot of thinking to get that guy down. Nevertheless strong isn't a person who can hit, he is a person who can get hit and be on his feet willing to take more. That's boxing. A real motivating movie must watch. Quite a movie from the actor who starred in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in 2013
