Life… that’s melody to me… I write… paint… share my ills and wells to those who seek to taste a bit of inspiration. I have nothing to boast but those sweet experiences…
This is a short story… like you; I too love my parents… This story is about a boy who worked for a call center just after his under graduation… He worked for 7200/- Rs for a year just before he commenced his MBA. Oh well…. It’s always good to look back and see how hard it was to reach all the way to success… Every success has its bitter story to backup. Never, never, never, let your soul die… I inspired myself with those sweet quotes during my hard times.
Trouble… such a sweet term… In my story, a little boy worked so hard to earn a living… He never let his parents know the salary that he worked for… He didn’t want his parents to wail for him… I know nobody knows about it till date that I have worked for a company that demanded eighty calls per day… This boy kept taking calls until the dawn burst through the empty seats beside him… to let him know that, ‘son it’s time… you may go and rest…’
Ah, inspire me… Maybe tomorrow, the sun will cover my darkness… I dreamt… Days passed by and a fine day my team leader calls me up and said check out the account to see if my salary got credited… Oh Yeh… promises and hey, why is it always broken! They promised 12500 Rs and all I got was 7200 Rs… but that’s okay… I can manage… Here I wanted to gift my Father and Mother something with my first salary… all I had was 7200 Rs… I walked across brigade road to see if I can afford something… I waked in to lot many showrooms… I didn’t find any… Hope! I didn’t loose it…
I rushed in to a Titan showroom with ‘Hope’… Yeh… I found a watch that worth 6500 Rs… I liked the sleek grey design. The dial looked so beautiful and attractive. I didn’t think twice. I didn’t care to foresee how I am going to live the whole month. I just picked it.
~ Few things which ran through my mind while buying it…
I grew up seeing Titan advertisements in television.
I had many friends who got Titan as a gift.
My grandmother adores the brand.
It’s owned by Tata Group.
It’s the sixth largest wrist watch manufacturer in the world
~ Years passed by… My father still uses it… It look the same brand new...
It has the same old grey color
No scratch on any of its part
Battery lasts for a long time
Haven’t faced any problems
Today, when I see the watch, like a reel those hard days come to my mind…
