The Lord of the Seven Hills : Sri Venkatajalapathi or Lord venkateswara's very own Tirupati is what comes to my mind whenever I think about TRAVEL.
The temple is one of the world's richest temples in the world and it's devotees and the faith towards the powerful Lord just keeps on rising everyday.
The story of Tirupati Tirumala is many, but it is said that The Lord had taken a huge '' LOAN '' for his wedding from the god of wealth - Lord KUBER and is still up there residing in the seven hills paying back the huge sum. The temple / idol of venkateswara is believed to be '' SWAYAMPU '' i.e. it was not installed by anyone but has emerged on its own thus further rising it's significance.
There are two places out here : Tirupati and Tirumala : Tirupati from where you can go and visit Mangapuram - Goddess Allemelu Manga, the Lords wife and at tirumala, you have the Lord of the seven hills himself.
My favourite part is travelling from the station called Renigunta and taking a direct bus to Tirumala thus going past the worlds most beautiful tropical surroundings as I would like to describe it and as the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthvam Buses go round and round in full speed amongst those sharp hair pin bends the beautiful waterfalls, the forest ares, the amazing wind from the hills, the heavenly greenery around and the excitement of having the Lords Darshan soon makes my heart filled with Bliss.
The Unbelievably tasty '' ladoos '' are a treat and there is nothing that can replace the real ghee and sweet which makes you feel like you have tasted Nectar.
The power of the Lord is such that once you visit the abode he will keep attracting you to him again and again and you will be a part of the other zillions who visit the temple on a regular basis religiously.
One of the best parts is the security in that area. Mazing checking, metal detectors, sitting rooms, scanning machines, tickets and wrist band systems now available from various places so as to make bookings very early and be it any time of the year, the Lords House always glitters not only with all its jewellery but with it's devotees blissful and joyous hearts gleaming with Happiness with the Darshan of the LORD !
