My job rules my life - yes I can imagine you thinking, that is sad - but believe me that is true. So it is always a struggle to get a holiday booked in time for the yearly summer or Christmas break.
Quite by accident I surfed into lastminute.com, and for a late holiday booker like me it is absolute bliss. Believe me, I have tried going to the high street holiday shops like Going Places, Thomas Cook, Lunn Poly and the only thing I can say is that they are a waste of time. I can remember when my husband and I were looking for flights to Mumbai and the ignorant lady at the desk hadn't even heard of a place called'Mumbai'. She looked truly puzzled when I asked her for a flight to this weird and wonderful place - it's only when I said Bombay she figured what I was talking about. Now that is just not professional is it? In general the staff are not very knowledgeable and downright rude sometimes. Customer service for me is very important - service with a smile as they say!
So after a rather bitter experience I tried my luck on the internet. And surprise surprise - lastminute.com is a panacea for the late traveller. Some of the big hits for me are:
The website is regularly updated.
They have a secure login for payment.
The homepage covers everything from flights, holidays, hotels, weekend breaks, city breaks, insurance, train and ferry tickets, entertainment and leisure breaks. You name it - they've got it!
4. The have a wide selection of choice in every category.
5. Special categories for the luxury and budget spenders.
6. Last but not the least you can get some super bargains!
I have been on three holidays booked through lastminute.com, and all I can say is for UK residents, it is god send! So all you lastminute travellers like me - log on and reap the benefits!
