Tips on Blogging
Mar 25, 2018 10:34 AM 3309 Views

Well, blogging seems to the flavor of the season. Everyone is right up there with their blogs, either on blogging websites or on their own websites. Blogging can be a good home based internet business too, provided you take care of certain things.

First of all, your idea has to be unique and catchy. Just imagine, you want to write a blog on cooking. Search this keyword " cooking blogs" and press enter. You will find millions of blogs already in existence. Then, how would you be able to capture the readers' attention. Make sure the topic you want to write a blog on is interesting.

Even if you want to write on cooking, then make it more narrow. For example, you can blog about cooking Indian dishes or Mediterranean ones. The narrower your topic is, the better it would be able to come up the rankings.

Your blogs should be error-free. That is a no-brainer. Your blog, even if informative, is riddled with errors will not be able to get the readers' attention. An error-free blog gets more readers, which improves its rankings in the Google ranking system.

Learn SEO, especially, if you want to earn through your blogs. Learn how to make your blogs visible to the readers. Remember, the blogs on the first two pages of the Google search earn the highest number of viewers. The more viewers your blogs have, the more popular you would be. Learn to incorporate key words in your blogs so that your blog is more search-friendly. Avoid phishing or copying the material from other blogs for your own articles. This would negatively impact your reputation and who knows, you may end up in a lawsuit for plagiarism?

If your blog has started to attract enough traffic, monetize the blog. That means, apply for an adsense account and put up banners and advertisement related to the blog. The higher the number of clicks the readers make on the advertisement, the better it would be for you.

Last but not the least, regularly update your blogs. Post at least two-three new blogs in your website and make sure the content is engaging and error-free. The more unique material your blog has, the higher the number of readers it would get.

Blogging is interesting, but it is demanding. Blogging, ideally, should be nurtured like a kid. The more attention you give to your blog, the bigger it would become.
