I am from Chennai and we are suffering a lot here and I am very sad to say we the people of India don’t have any consumer protection or rights to question the atrocities which are happening in this part of the country.
Let me narrate the issues which are in my mind
1) Being an INDIAN I love to speak HINDI but I do not know the language and only know to understand and write. I have been deprived of learning my countries most preferred language all because of the bloody politicians and their policies.If I travel just 100 Kms from my Chennai I became an alien who has to use English to get things done.
Still the politicians here are not happy with the entry of Hindi and you all know that even the name boards on the highways containing Hindi descriptions have been erased to promote “Tamil”.
2) Everything is purely monopoly.The ruling party can do anything to any business and only the people will suffer.
When the entire country could watch India Pakistan match on Ten sports thru the cable system. It is only in Chennai that we have suc*ing CAS which demands Rs 5000 to give all the channels so we are left to watch only the Tamil sops which always show the girls crying and serials running for generations.
The CAS(Conditional access system) was introduced only to benefit the end consumers who can choose the channels they want.
But here the SCV(Sumangali cable vision) belonging to the DMK Government doesn’t have any selection to make and are very rude.
Either pay to get all or u get nothing.
These people are all backed by the political power+SUN TV a regional tamil channel.
It is only in tamilnadu that the right to Information of current affairs is being presented wrongly on two regional channels and it has been happening for a long time misguiding people which is a serious offence.
Who can question them?
Eg: During the recent monsoon disaster the news which came on both the channels.
SUN TV:
The roads are completely blocked all over TN and no vehicle can move and government has not done anything.
JAYA TV(BELONGING TO THE RULING PARTY):
Everything is going on fantastic.Relief packages are provided.No problems.
If a layman watched the news from both the channels which one he is supposed to believe?

U can think of other bigshots like Reliance who can do anything they want with their power and influence.
Reliance can import any machineries from any part of the world by underquoting and evading duties.
Reliance Infocomm can tap any telephone conversation from any of their networks.
Reliance Infocomm can have a separate ISD routing mechanism causing a big loss+ a big threat to country national security.
Even parliament members are getting bribe to ask questions.
Bribe is everywhere.
Gone are the days when the bribe was received underneath the table. Nowadays it is being received by threatening people with dire consequences.
When two states in a same country cannot share water in a mutual manner how can INDIA & Pakistan arrive at a peacefull dialogue.
Karnataka is already fertile and It has built dams all along the course of Kaveri river which comes into TN and blocks all the water upstream.
Who is to question?
Now AP is building another Dam at Rs 200 cr to block all the water upstream
Who is to question?
If we buy a product and then find it is not up to the mark we have to put a case in the consumer court and then wait for several months to get a result.
Things are getting bad and hope the people care about their rights.
When Finance Minister Chidambaram is asking so much Tax people got to think whether it is really worth paying.
Because all our tax money goes for keeping the politicians happy.
Hope the situation changes.
I have no concrete proof to prove the above cases and It is only a review which was right out of mind.
