Get rid of those blues....

“trembling hands, shaking feet,

as soon as you approach,

your classroom's seat''

these are a few lines from my self composed poetry, ''examination blues''

anyway, this is the dreaded phase that we all have gone through …

and the more unfortunately ones, like me still facing. Gosh! scary isn’t it

anyway, now as sunshinegal ‘s life has been surrounded by dark and

loomy clouds of pre boards and boards, she tries to locate the silver=lining

and ofcourse share it with fellow sufferers.

Ways to crack the dreaded word, “EXAMZ”:-

1.E for ease:-yup baby, you got it! Ease yourself, that is the first mantra to

crack exams. With the pressure building, and the anxiety levels soaring

sky-high, you certainly can’t afford to be tensed or sulk during this crucial

phase. Ease yourself, relax, bid farewell to stress and tension and stress.

Go out on walks, don’t cut on all your sports activities, etc. remember, all

work and no play makes jack a dull boy and jill a dull gal(women’s

liberation, you see). So, before you start making your study schedule, first

of all, get rid of all your tensions, peer pressures and the loads of

comparisons. Simply chillax!

2:- X for xtraa efforts:- “karat karat abhyaas toh….jarmati hot sujaan!”

this is one saying that we’ve read since class 1 or 2. they say, “practise

makes a man perfect.”, but, they also say “easier said than done”- is that the

case with you. Fikar not, me too with you, on that part, but, par, kintu,

parantu you and I, i.e. we, have to work hard, no! we all know that there

is no short cut to success. So, give it your 100%, and an added 50%

in this age of ek ke saath ek free. Suppose you lag behind in a subjesct,

say, maths ( haila! I hate it like hell), don’t just dream about excelling in

it, instead, work, go that extraa mile towards achieving success. It’s like

work hard, even if your grey cells retard.

3:-A for avoid temptations:- now this is apparantely one factor, where all

of us falter. Yaa, temptations of all kinds, be it your friends, who make it a

point to disturb you, just when you’re about to study. Buddies, seekho,

dekho… learn to say “no” .When you’re just about to study, your best pal

calls you up and diverts your attention to the latest music video or may be

the latest fashion fad. Please say, a gentle, “I’m busy right now, will ge

back to you later”… also, make it a point to actually get back later when

you’re free, otherwise, parhaai mein toh, you’ll excel, but, friendship mein

baj jayeegi tumhari bell”. So, it’s not actually all that difficult, what say

learn to manage your time, and ofcourese, avoid the temptations, such as

pals, extra hours of T.V.viewing, or that certainly avoidable shopping spree

4:- M for make notes, schedules:- For anything to go well n' fine,

planning is of utmost importance. Here, I’m talking about making

schedules. Making one is really easy, but, when it comes to getting up at

6:00 in the morning, we easily chicken out of it. Very bad, guys, very bad!

when you promise something, make sure you stick to that, even in case

of the timetable. Another important M out here is making notes. Friends,

just give those pile of reference books a break, a nice break to yourself

from the countless tutorials. Making your own notes, i.e. self study is a

sure shot way to succeed. Mention must also be made of the other most

important M in your life, i.e., your mommy, who apart from helping you

out on the other two M’s, can also help you a great deal with her

love and care (now, now, dad’s also there for all this, okey. )

5:- Z for zeal to do better:- now coming back to my fav and the most

important thingie, which is, the zeal to do better. Yeah, you should have it

in you, the fire, the desire to succeed. Don’t ever underestimate

yurself. always be focused. Remember, you CAN do it, always.

the C-factor, i.e. corage and confidence, is exactly what’s prescribed by

Soojie behen, MBBS. So, strive for the best and work towards it.

Always remember that the will to win, is the will to succeed.

Haaaaan! So, now, that I’ve ended giving you my set of rules, like, tanuja,

Here’s hoping that your big venture, i.e the exams, don’t get a luke warm response like rules, instead, hope ur big venture-exams creates magic at the box office, amen! side by side, since today's saraswati pooja, pray for me too, naa. after all, I have my BOARDS, veryyyyy soooooon!

So, enjoy n get rid of those blues…examination blues…and turn others

green with envy, with your results.

All the best,

And jai hind!

-ciao,

soojie:-)
