Yes we all cant imagine life without music. Its something which soothes our depression and true music quickly attains full flow in our blood. But the exact definition of music is slowly fading away due to the current absurd trendz of music. To me, " MUSIC IS SOMETHING THAT MATCHES WITH OUR EMOTIONS AND TOUCHES EVERY CORD OF OUR HEART".But the latest trend has given a altogether new meaning to the subject. Nowadays music is just "electric or jazz guitar mixed with deadly drum beats together with all hip-hop kind of lyrics and some terrible noise".
Actual music is hard to find but it is not impossible. Few people have set a new trend to the world of music, namely Himesh Reshammiya, has just given music a new name- perhaps a name that stresses to much on beats than on the true music. Himesh's songs did rock some people for sometime but they are surely not going to attain the true status of musical songs as "Mitwa, kal ho na ho, Roobaroo" did. Music is something which will sometimes make u emotional while sometimes make u funky, but it will surely have serious imapct both in ur mind, brains and of course ur feet. **In this era of DJ's and VJ's and radio jockeys, the true music is often been murdered by the deadly weapon of hard beats.
The taste of music differentiates a person from others. All the rocking songs which are surviving only on the basis of octapads and various other sound producing instruments is surely not the exact form of music. A.R. Rahaman's music is something which has a true divine touch and his music is surely to take u away to a distant place where u find no one but only u and your music. This is what differentiates him from all others, because his formula is something which was hard to derive and difficult to follow for the newcomers. true music needs lot of devotion completely in the saga of music and then the product is something which flows through the heart of millions.
* The lyrics in a musical song definitely play a big role, and a rich fine music may also be downtrodden due to inavailability of appropriate words. So actually music composition in accordance with lyrics is a tough job, and so we have only few Einstein's in the world of MUSIC! Musc can become better in the hands of our present singers and composers but if the entire crew rows the boat against the stream then in the future days, the definition of true music will be faded in the darkness of oblivion. And to name the true worshippers of music I can name a few only- SONU NIGAM, UDIT NARAYAN, ALKA YAGNIK, KUNAL GANGAWALA and of course LATA MANGESHKAR.
The future of music in the hands of our youth also, if they choose the wrong path then the latter are to follow. Music has still not become bad, but if the current trends set by Himesh, DJ Suketu etc etc. continues, then it willl not take time to grow worse.
