Maintenance of shoes. Review on Tips on Choosing Shoes

This is an advice, not on choosing shoes, but on maintenance of shoes. I requested MS to add a category on Shoe Polish but they choose not to even acknowledge my request. So I thought, for sharing my experience of a famous brand of liquid shoe polish, this category is best suited.

The brand is KIWI and the product is liquid shoe polish - 5 ml pack of INSTANT WAX SHINE. I removed the cap and applied the polish on my shoes. The result was very good. Without tiring my hands to rub the brush a countless number of times(followed by brisk rubbing by a cloth) on the shoes with polish paste, this shine was achieved by simply pressing the tube on the shoe and rubbing the wet applicator across the surface of the shoe only a few times. It felt nice and result was also very good. A good product I felt.

This continued for some time. One day when I pressed the tube lot of liquid polish came out. Some fell on the floor. Some on my hands. It was a mess. Polishing of shoe was abandoned and cleaning of floor and hands was undertaken. It later turned out that applicator has detached itself from the mouth of the tube. The tube was not even half empty but it became useless. Without applicator attached firmly on it the tube was simply a container full of liquid polish. The good product turned out to be a bad product. It was not only a bad product it was a nuisance.

Without applicator, tube was not applying polish on the shoe. It was pouring liquid polish on the shoe. It dirtied the floor. It dirtied my hands. It spoiled the mood. It wasted precious time and made me late to work.

I wonder why the company did not think about it, why it did not use a good quality glue so that the applicator is not detached from the tube. The design is faulty. The product is certainly not user friendly.

It would be better if you do not use this liquid polish, and continue with your old polish. It may tire your hands but you will be saved from so many bad aftereffects. HAPPY POLISH.
