Change is Required. Review on Timesofindia

There used to be a time when, at my home, when every morning people would fight to get their hands on the newspaper. Now everyone has got a tablet, smartphone where to get to read latest news without having to wait for the next day newspaper to arrive. You get notifications and information is easily available. In fact it would be fare to say that instead of reading a newspaper, one prefers to check the newspaper's website every now and then to get the updates. Moreover now it is a must to stay updated with everything going on in the world.

Before internet happened, we used to get TOI at our place. The kind of newspaper which did serious news and also covered upbeat events, so it was fun to read. People of every age group had a favorite page, either sports, city or entertainment. But now I visit the toi website to stay updated. And in my personal opinion, drastic changes are needed. The homepage itself is full of ads, I mean at every single corner. The main news gets tiny bit of space on the homepage, most of it is'masala news', gossip, blogs get more space than genuine news. The homepage itself looks so chaotic that you lose interest. But compared to other sites, there are more news items on this website. The Tech and Travel section are my favorite. I really wish that they would make the website more readable in the future.
