Hi,

An avid fan of Michael Chrichton..I bought this book with a lot of expectations!! No doubt the beginning was great!!! It promised to be all that I had hoped for... but it lost its grip in the middle and then never got it back.

To me it seemed more like a novel written to make a point - Time Travel could be bad!!!! Well I think thats not being very creative. Yes everyone argues about the dangers and hazards of time travel... of any new technological advancements. But it did not sound too convincing to me.

Even from the story point of view it started off with a lot of mystery but there is always an hint what its all about. And once it becomes obvious I would say there was nothing to keep up the suspense.

To sum it up I would say that TimeLine some ten years back or more could be appreciated but for the present ..... It lacks punch :)

So my review here is that the book is only average. Its like a lot excitement , pack your bags for adventure.. start off the trip and then find nothing out of the ordinary.

Thats the feeling I got.

But not everyone goes for detail and there are some of us who do enjoy light adventure. So for those who enjoyed Sydney Sheldon's Tell Me Your Dreams my guess is they would enjoy this one too.. and those who did'nt well we can definiftely spend TIME reading something other than TIMELINE
