Actually i went to thusharagiri waterfall thrice. First reason i went thrice because its amazing place and secondly its nearby to Nit Calicut college. Its about 35 to 40 km from kattangal. First time i went with bus. From city bus stop you can get the direct bus to thusharagiri.
Its was a amazing feeling when i saw the area and the place. It make me stunned by seeing nature beauty in kerala. After reaching the place there are some shop of eatble and hotel room available with quite good facility. You have to pay 40 rupee charge for entering the place. While going toward the waterfall you can see amazing view. You have to walk around 500m to reach first stop and first waterfall in that sight. The water is falling from quite high making the perfect place to enjoy bathe. Water depth is not very deep. But while enjoying bathe one has to be careful of slippery rocks.
After that if you want to go another sight of that place you have to trek around 2 km from that place. During monsoon trekking is not allowed due to safety reason. After reaching above place you can enjoy both waterfall and perfect scenery of mountain and waterfall. Trekking in that place is much more fun part. Its little difficult path. The path while going upward is fully natural. Some part they had made stairs but overall you have to make effort for trekking.
Coming down to thusharagiri , there is a road bridge where u can also spend time.
Overall its a best place if you are in kozhikode and want to visit place like that which is not take too much time to travel.
Gate closing time is 5 pm. You can find lot of tourist in that place along with native place.
