Well to begin with, I'll say we didn't have much good experience with Thrilophilia. We had planned our trip Coorg-Wayanad from 23rd May 2023 to 26th May 2023. Before paying the amount, their team member or the operator (one person from the agency will be appointed who'll be Incharge of your itinerary) will be continuously behind you to do the payment so as to book the hotels. We were of course given the choices of hotels. We had selected it, they said the hotel rooms will be finalised once the half payment is done. So we immediately do the half payment. But suddenly any member from the agency calls you up and asks for the details. I was fed up actually that's why so many people call you and ask for the same details. When I approached our tour Co-ordinator, she told us that it happens! We said ok!
Then 3 days before our tour was to commence, we get a call from other agency official saying that the hotel we confirmed is not available. I was literally shocked that since we did the complete payment on time, how come the hotel is not available 3 days before? Me and my husband were tensed since we were going on a tour with our 4-year-old son.
After so many arguments, and everything, we only searched for hotel stays and finalised on one hotel since the hotels shown by them were pathetic whose rates for per night were hardly 2k-3k per night whereas before booking the hotels which were shown to us were of 6k-8k per night. And then we were asked to pay an additional 7k since the hotel we chose was out of their budget! So I hope you understood what's wrong in their system!
Secondly, in the itinerary given to us, it was clearly mentioned breakfast and dinner were included in the hotels. However, in some of the places (Coorg) we didn't have free dinner! So we had to pay there. Their excuse was that it was out of their budget. So we had to chip in more money from our pocket.
Then in Wayanad, where our stay was for 2 nights, we reached there at 7 pm and on reaching there, we got to know that dinner is not included in the itinerary. I was pissed off, I tried reaching our tour co- ordinator for one hour but in vain and finally, she cared to call us back only to inform us that there's a family emergency at her place so she won't be able to help us out! There were after 6-7 hour car journey with our son, in the hotel, trying to reach the agency that why is the itinerary not followed! Finally, Sourabh from the agency cared and said that the dinner is included in the itinerary and he has talked to the manager. And finally, we were able to dine at 10 pm!
The driver which was provided by them was also changing from hour to hour. And every hour some new driver was calling me.! That became little tiresome to me since I was fed up. Once, we had paid the amount to the agency, my question was why we are supposed to provide all the details to them! Then what's the use of the agency?
I was not at all happy with Thrillophilia, when customers are paying you with all their trust, you just give them lame excuses and tell them that to adjust! We go on to the tours for leisure, break from our routine and to get refresh! However, this tour became a headache for me! I hope the concerned authorities will work on their agency members!
