Dance. That's what this place is all about; that's what the crowd's here for. And it doesn't disappoint! With a hip set of people in attendance on weekends, it's still one of the cooler places to be at. And the playlist reflects a lot of tracks from the club scene abroad - stuff that'll get here in as month or so!!!
It's done up very simply. And that's what I really like about the place. There's no strange Underwater or Outer space theme getting in the way! The interiors are elegant and functional. And the place is large, which in the middle of Colaba is a luxury indeed! There's a bar, running the length of the joint, on one side. And as you enter, there are a few pool tables lined up along the middle. And right at the end, is the dance floor. There are some cool, state of the art lights around the dance floor - including some laser's. The rest of the joint is surprisingly well lit, considering that at most disc's today, you can hardly see your hand in front of your face!
On weekends, it's all techno here, latino, and a bit of pop - basically mindless dancing music. That's what the crowd wants - to dance! On other days, you do hear the occasional rock, or 80's pop. But if you're really looking for some meaningful music, then this is a place to avoid. If however, you want to dance, or just sit by the bar, and the music is just the backdrop, then it's perfect, and the thumping bass really keeps the energy high. ''Sign Off''
I think it's really the music the crowd comes in for. The DJ really has a feel for the pulse of the crowd, and seems to know all about the subtleties of catering to a younger, more fickle crowd. And if all the music sounds the same, and you barely recognize one or two songs through the night, then maybe, like me, you've grown too old to keep up with what's hip in dance today! But all in all, the DJ plays all the hits before they're hot, and the music really is current!
