I took a world tour of Italy and France in October 2008 from THOMAS COOK.booked in Kolkata-Theatre Road office.
I booked centrally located hotels at Rome, Florence, Venice, Nice and Paris through thomas cook...besides Air tickets, Eurail pass and local tours...but unfortunately the hotels, except in Venice were in far off places and 2 or 3 stars, instead of 3 or 4 stars as agreed during booking...Hence after this tour I only travel on my own or use Globus/ Cosmos TOURS ...I also call Thomas Cook .....Thomas CROOK now !
