A really sad and costly experience I did have with Thomas cook. When I travelled with my wife to balakrishna949. These folks were the vendors booking our ticket.. now comes the Drama
(i) once the funds were transferred..by the employer. We were asked to contact T-Cook
(ii) we called in. The customer was "Oh you are from ___ company, wait in that corner!!!" - great start
(iii)- we call the next day- they say no tickets!!!.. we will call you back!!
(iii) Day three : "Do not call us.. we will call you back when we book your tickets" (iv) day five - no answers - we call back - "Hey, there are no tickets. Don't call us every day. When we get the ticket we will call you... OKEY!!!"
(iv) day six we get a call after noon your ticket is booked and the flight is next day. Wonderful again!! Now the worst part!!! This lowlife booking clerk they have. He is very vehemently told us that you can carry only 20 Kg per person and that would be 40Kg for both of us.
I told him in the website it says different (i.e two 20 kg bags per person that would be 80 kgs for both of us). Now this guy gives me a long lecture. I asked him why not check with the airline. Well he is so damn sure, 20KG it is. Now 20 kgs was only our dress, shoes and stuff. Well can you imagine my frustration. When the airline staff told me that I could carry two 20 kg bags per person and that would be 80Kgs as it was..
I wanted to come back and give it square on the face of that jerk of Cook. I ended up spending a lot of money in US, buying, just usual stuff and many more in cannot get there which I could have carried!! ...
I can't believe. I can't. How could such a lousy looser be still in business? May be you want to think twice. God save. If you are a Honeymooner or giving a gift to your loved one.. !!!!!
