Being a capital of kerala its a beautiful city which need at least one time visit in life.
I went to trivendrum for some work and I stayed in irctc dormitory. The best dormitory by design and maintenence I had ever seen. After completion of work I had time for visit some iconic place of trivendrum.
So I started with going temple Shree Padmanabhaswamy. The temple is in the city itself. The design and architecture of the temple is glorifying. Its south designed temple and the pond is there nearby which enhance the beauty of the temple. Entrance in the temple male has to wear mund. There are so many shop you can buy or even rent a mund for use. In the temple long queue are there. It take us around 2 hour to take blessing of lord Vishu.
After that we went to Napier Museum and Trivendrum zoo. Museum is average by my thought. Its not much to see. But the trivendrum zoo is much more awesome. The best zoo I have seen till yet. It was beautifully organised with well maintained infrastructure needed for animal and visitors. The best part is you can see even anaconda in the zoo which is kept beside the glass. In that area where anaconda kept you have to go through tunnel where you can easily see all the reptile in same place.
After that I went to kovalam beach which is little far from city around 25 to 30 km. The beach is well clean not like any other beach which was exhausted by tourist. There is a light tower house near the shore right above a cliff. This place are fill with mostly foreigner. There are some shopping area near the beach in that you can enjoy good meal also.
More places are there to visit in trivendrum but upto this I was exhausted.
