Her face is still in my heart… I wasn’t satisfied with what I have written about her and I’m not too sure if this is the 7th time I’m editing it to feel pleased by the content.
Casablanca… That’s where the tale begins… A young director, Akram(Prithviraj) makes a film that won many accolades and the scene starts with the celebration of its success. When superstar Ajaya Chandran(Anoop Menon) inaugurates the function, the crowd recollects the memoirs that they cherished through his films Since 25 years.
Time flew…

Casablanca… That’s where they all spent time talking about tales that they wanted to film… This
Café’ is owned by Akram who is fondly called as Akky by his friends. It’s named after the Hollywood film. The days passed by and clouds pour until a dawn arrived calmly to remind him of someone… so special… yet forgotten… who could that be? When the review progresses through Akky’s eyes, the meaningful, yet tragic tale takes us to a different level…
We all have someone special in our lives… Be it anyone… But when that dear person fades away from the scene, it’s as painful as watching a ship sinking in the dark blue sea…
Today, I have decided to use my black ball pen to write about her… She was a special person… Her name was Malavika… When her picture comes to my mind with a warm smile, I get haunted by the scenes that have been captured with those melodious tones as the background score. Malavika is one of the beautiful girls I have ever seen in my life… She had beautiful eyes… Oh well… Hold on!
…had?
The story begins…
Malavika(Priyamani) is an actress who started off with her career in a high note despite the fact that she never had any interest in her profession. But, like many, she had to compromise her interests for her mother who treated her badly. All tragedies start off from the family and it was the same scene with Malavika as well. She was stunning on screen… Sad in real life… Ajaya Chandran was her co-star on the first film who, apparently, develops an interest in her. He loved her irrespective of the fact that she was a ruining queen on the screen. She lived like a princess where he was a makeup artist’s son. Alas, they fell in love and Malavika decided to quit acting once they got registered marriage.
Oh well… all that glitters are not gold my friend… You were going far away… You never had any limits unlike us who keep sky as the limit. There you fall… deep… deeper…
Ajaya Chandran was a beginner and was profoundly depended on his friend Aby(Renjith) who is a director. When Malavika took this final cut decision to quit films shocked him, even in his deepest sleep… He knew about her image… He knew that his film would do well provided she acts with him… But… all that glitters are not gold my friend…
She gets pregnant… He demands for an abortion… the tale changes…
Today, Ajaya Chandran is a reigning superstar… But, where is Malavika? She got divorced… True… She got her abortion done… True… But, what was the misunderstanding that made them separate?
Akky and his friends decide to make a film on her life and fortunately, they gets to know the whereabouts of her through a reporter. Akky goes to meet her…
In his mind she came as the queen who won many hearts through her smile… Her beautiful eyes and long black hair tickled his heart…
But… the eyes met something that they never wanted to observe… There lies Malavika in a Government hospital with few hairs on her head… Those appeared grey in color…
Akky takes her back to his Casablance, café where he and his friends supported her… cared for her… loved her… Her last wish was to meet Ajaya Chandran for a last time… last time? …that’s a heart aching statement… Oh lady… you were beautiful… everything went right for you… but life was so unpredictable that it took you for a ride… there you lost everything… your money… possession… friends… family… ah, everything!
Malavika had cancer… But… the story is not yet over… She met Ajaya Chandran for once, a last time in the hospital… They wept for a long time… A small misunderstanding has left them separated. The leaf withered… Years passed by… They both went poles apart… But their hearts were craving for each other… What did happen? What was the misunderstanding? Why did their ego let them ruin their love life…? Oh, questions… lot of questions… watch the film to know about it…
Right now, I see Ajaya Chandran taking Malavika to Clouds 9… The place where they shot their first film… He bought that cottage where the place was surrounded with picturesque rivers, skies… clouds… truly a heaven on earth… they are traveling… the doctors have advised him not to take her since her condition is real bad. But, he couldn’t stop by that. It was her wish…
And, the movie ends when they reach at Clouds 9, leaving the rest for our imagination… for how long she is going to live… for how long they going to look intently at each other… for how long they going to love each other… Every second… I say, every second is precious to them…
| Note: This movie is a real life story. It was a tribute to Srividya, a reigning actress in Kerala who passed away due to Cancer.||
