Jay Shetty's Think Like a Monk is one of my favourite books. It is a mind refreshing book and is a practical guide to achieving happiness,
inner peace and purpose. Jay Shetty has written about his own experiences as a former monk.
Jay Shetty provides readers with practical steps to lead a mindful and meaningful life. In this book Jay has break down the complex concept into simple language. This book is divided into three parts. The first part explores the importance of letting go of our fear and distractions. In the second part the concept of self awareness is well explained by Jay. Third and last part provides guidance about how to add purpose in life and live a peaceful and meaningful life. There are few chapters that are so motivating and I read them more than once. There are many topics that are very well explained by him like Identity, Forgiveness, Ego, Routine, Fear etc. I feel this book really had a great impact on my life.
Some readers might find this book a little bit lengthy but as you get into it you would like to read more and more. Overall this book is highly recommended for anyone looking for a more purposeful, smooth and mindful life.
