''The Score'' is a quality movie, in which Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando, and Edward Norton team together to produce a mesmerising high tension drama that keeps you glued to your seats throughout. ROBERT DE NIRO plays Nick Wells , a professional safecracker and also a Jazz club owner who decides to take one last big job before retiring and settling down with Diane (Angela Basset). Diane is a flight attendant in love with Nick but would only settle down with him if he left his life of crime.
MARLON BRANDO is Max, Nick's long time friend who persuades him to take the job and EDWARD NORTON plays Jack the young and cocky originator of the plan who feigns having cerebral palsy or something similar to fool his co workers into complacency. Jack is a janitor at the Customs House and knows every inch of the Customs House.
A priceless 17th century sceptre has been impounded at the local customs office and a criminal there, Jack has been figuring out figuring out how to steal the piece. All he needs is someone to crack the safe where it is being held and that is why he needs Nick, who reluctantly agrees to take the job. From this point on, these two plot and scheme to steal the sceptre. The two men must not only figure out exactly how to penetrate the building's high security but also how to deal with various complications that arise as they try to pull off the heist without getting caught.
“The Score” is a complicated and gritting story and the acting; well if you bundle together Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando and Angela Basset, of course you will get the best. The neatly webbed plot is spiced with humour at times. A worth watching movie which has brought together three generations of American actors.
