Actions, as they say, speak louder than words. If you have seen Welcome to the Jungle or Rundown you may feel otherwise. This is one action movie where only the actions have spoken, and you wouldn’t have noticed it if this was a silent movie. But yes, what ever was spoken, was a worth hearing.
Why did I see this movie? I wanted to see a movie, other movies were sold out. I haven’t seen Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson acting. I always wondered if he was that good with acting as he is at the wrestling ring. I wasn’t disappointed to say the least, neither was I impressed. To sum it all up I didn’t regret watching the movie.
The movies kicks off with Becker (The rock) being greeted by Arnold Schwarzenegger telling him to have fun as Becker was entering a night club. Some trivia’s reported that Arnold was shooting in the same studio and was asked to make a small appearance. Becker is a retrieval expert who works for Walker (William Lucking). Becker is known to be the best in this line of usual business, who aspires to start a restaurant. So walker asked him to do one last job - to get his son Travis (Sean William Scott, from Dude, Where’s my Car, American Wedding). So Becker flies to Brazil, to get Travis. He does manage to find Travis, but things get a little out off hand and they are stuck in the Jungle. Travis on one side wants to escape and Hatcher (Christopher Walken), the gold mine baron, trying to find Travis since Travis knows the place where an ancient artifact is hidden.
What I liked
. The camera effects
. The beautiful Amazon forests
. The sprinkle of humor especially between Becker and Travis
. The one liners, sentences and paragraph’s (geez can I make anything up).
.The fight sequences are almost amazing. Becker walks up to his target
Becker: You are coming with me. Option A or Option B
Target: what’s option A
Becker: You come with me quiet and we walk out of here as pals.
Target: Option B.
Becker: I make you
Target: Option B
Becker : Wrong choice !!!
Becker kicks some behinds (good boys don’t use the A word) and walks away with his target. It’s that simple. And Yeah, Becker don't like Guns.
