Something about the movie ''the rundown'' aka (''welcome to the jungle'' in india) is a very intriguing, the moment u watch the trailer, u would want to watch the movie, it has a got the frehness going for it. Here is the story line - ''When Travis (Scott), the son of an underworld kingpin, disappears in the Amazon in search of a priceless artifact, Beck (Rock), the kingpin's retrieval expert, is sent to get him(this is his last assignment before he retires). Despite their hostility the two must eventually join forces to fight the evil head (Walken) of a gold-mining corporation who is after the same treasure. ''
The movie is very funny most of the times (at the expense of logic, but who cares as long as it is good). Every time Beck (Rock) gives his opponents 2 choices, like in the opening scene when he is trying to retrieve the money in the club. Option A : ''You give me the money'' Option B: ''I make you give me the money'' It is incredibly funny the way Rock says it and every time around he says it, it is even better. And there is also another choice, Option C: ''There is no option C'' Christopher Walken as the gold-seeking American, mining baron is very impressive and has some really good sequences in the movie. He proves yet again what a great actor he is. It is even better than his recently oscar nominated ''catch me if you can''. Ther are so many things going well for this movie I think the single biggest thing is Dwayne ''THE ROCK'' Johnson!. He rocks!! I didnt like him till Rundown, mainly because the movies he did so far were bad or his part was not good.In this movie he is simply unbelievable and has a captivating presence.Five mins into the movie and I knew iam going to like him and I guess he is going to become as big as arnold(arnie has a one scene cameo in this movie) if not better. He has the charm, the style and the wit, that u would never have seen in an action star. Iam already waiting for his next movie. Christopher Walken is brilliant! A lovable performance as the bad man. Sean William Scott is also good and the scenes in which he takes on the Rock verbally are very well done. The background score, the locations and the cinematography makes this flick worth the money you shell out for the tickets. The movie has some negatives but is thoroughly over shadowed by the pluses. you can visit the official site : https://therundown.com/ Bottom line Step into this jungle, you will really enjoy it. the enigma
