My review is about the restaurant The Royal Corner, Jayanagar which is a part of the Pai Viceroy group of hotels.
Location: It is located in central Jayanagar and the hotel is a part of Pai Viceroy group. Hotel Pai Viceroy provides accommodation, has a party hall and the restaurant is a part of this hotel.
Parking: The restaurant is located right next to the road and it is a very busy junction so you might have to search for parking space during peak hours as there is not too much space in front of the restaurant for parking. But they do have free valet parking which we used so we did not have to search or park far away.
About the restaurant We went to the restaurant to have dinner. We were 12 people in total and reached the place about 7:30 so that we did not have to wait for seating, it being a weekend and all. The place was fairly empty and we used 2 tables. The seating area was not too big and I think there is more space inside but it was not available that day for some reason. As soon as we were seated I noticed a card that was stuck on their wall which said'Mouthshut loves us' so I was really eager to taste their food. We ordered 3 starters and soups in the beginning. The starer had about 6-7 pieces in each plate which is a good quantity for a family of 4. The lemon coriander soup was very tasty. We had rotis, curries, rice and raithas for our main course. The quantity of curries and rice was good. The roti was a bit hard and the curries tasted okay. We waited for almost 10min for the rice item to come. We ordered plain rice since there were kids and it was not basmati rice. Usually most restaurants serve basmati rice. For desert we ordered a casata ice-cream and chocolate milkshakes. The milkshakes were good but the casata which was recommended by our waiter was again just okay.
Service Service was good. The waiters and servers were polite and courteous. The place was neat and hygienic.
Price Dinner would cost about 600-750 for two people approximately.
When we came outside after finishing our dinner I happened to see their board about their buffet breakfast and lunch. It is reasonably priced at about 175 for breakfast and 300 for lunch.
Overall the meal was just okay for me personally. I have rated 3 stars because the food was not bad but there was nothing great about it. No dish really stood out for me. You can come here once, maybe try their buffet but I do not think I would come here again unless someone gives a party here.:)
