Saw it yesterday afternoon, wished I could had taken a nap and saved me some money.
It was not good enough. The storyline was lethargic and forced but had some great comedy scenes by Peele and Thomas Jane. I just couldn't think of one reason why Olivia Munn was in the movie apart from sitting nude in front of a predator! She can't act. The extras were performing better than her. She was playing a scientist and the most sophisticated thing she could say was 'Alien Technology'.
The big predator did not have that screen presence and felt like a CGI puppet.
And the worst part was lack of kick ass-action sequences that made the original movie iconic. The CGI fest action was not paced accurately and you could neither feel excitement nor thrill while watching them. Editing was badly done for this movie. Really!
But the biggest joke played in the movie was it's ending. Anticlimactic but not needed.
- Don't watch it.waste of money and time. Sleep instead.
Verdict- The original one is still the best and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
