Before I begin my review on this Magnificent movie, let me caution you, there are some spoilers about this movie.

Very rarely you see a movie that makes you think from the get go and that feeling lasts for a long long time. Passion of the Christ glorifies Passion which is often thought of with a romantic angle. The movie tells that Passion is all about Love, Patience, Sacrifice, Faith, Hope and the list is endless. Mel Gibson took a risk of a lifetime and now he doesn't need to worry for the same timeframe. A main incentive for any business is making money, something tells me that Mel and and Lead actor Jim were not just all about money, their work speaks for itself.

As most of you might know, the movie portrays Jesus's last 12 hours before his crucifiction. Every minute before it actually came on the screen, I was hoping for some kind of miracle to happen although I knew there wasn't anything but at the same time I wanted it to get over soon since it was a spiritual torture watch something so gory and brutal to Jesus. There's a strong reason why this movie has been so successful and would possibly be the most successful religious movie for a long time, that's because inspite of the world that we live in, has abundance of greed, hatred, selfishness, people in the back of their mind think that there is still hope out there and that's what's keeping us balanced.

Enough of philosophy, let me get back to the movie review. The acting in this movie is Superb to say the least. Obviously Jim Caviezel delivers his most memorable performance of his short career and would probably end up winning awards. The person that in my opinion that deserves a special mention is Maia Morgenstern who plays Mary. Her eyes spoke throughout the movie, you can sense her agony for her dying son and yet she remains perseverant, I could hear silent cries in the entire theatre, it's an experience that is difficult to portray in words. Mel Gibson would probably be remembered best as the person that told us the story of Jesus in the one of the most realistic way.

This movie is NOT recommended for kids because of the graphic violence but make sure to tell your kids to watch it when you think they can handle it. Only movies like this can act like a spiritual speed bump in the fast freeway of materialistic life.

Later folks.
