Story:

I have always been interested in animal stories...and talking of animal stories, I think Jim Corbett is definitely one of the best authors. All his stories are real tales of Himalayas..(Kumaon and Garhwal region) and how he was able to hunt the man-eating tigers and leopards who had killed numerous people in the Hills. And that is what makes him a great hero.

The love for the hills can be clearly felt when we read his books.I like his book because the writing style is very simple and yet elegant...He describes the incidents in a very realistic manner and writes beautifully about nature.

While reading the book, we can actually imagine and get a clear picture in our mind of what had been the situation when he was hunting..and that is why I love his books..

People in Kumaon and Garhwal region still love him very dearly and respect him very much as he was able to get them rid of the man eaters that time.

The most touching part of this book is when he regrets killing the tiger as it is such a beautiful and royal animal but cannot help it as it was the need of the hour.We can clearly feel the author's love for animals and nature.

Even though the stories revolve around the same plot-Jim Corbett trying to hunt some man-eater; every story seems to be different from the other..I have read almost all his books except Jungle Lore and I enjoyed all the books.

Edit:I read Jungle Lore as well and it was equally superb!!
