Those who love Action-Thriller movie,”Italian Job” is perfect movie. It features some spectacular chase scenes along with some perfect mind game and mind blowing actions. One thing which I liked is “An Unglamorous concept is glamorously portrait on silver screen.”
Plot: $35million dollar robbery by 5 members. They met at one place for the distribution of money. One person did bitching and takes all the money. After that the story revolves around the person and money. How the other group members take revenge from the bad man.
The driving factor of “The Italian Job” is the emotional core, the determination, strong revenge plot.
The concept is not new but implementation is awesome. Whether it is dialogue or scenes or sequesnces ,all are awesome. Usually in thriller kind of movie most of the time we can easily predict the next step but in this case we know the survivor and culprit but don't know the move or steps. Its just like a game of 'Chess',what will be the next move tough to predict.
Nice location of Venice made this movie more special. Wild boat rides through the cannels of Venice,Italy and breath taking chase scene by car and sensible planned act of revenge filled with snappy dialogue and smart acting.
As I already mentioned that “An Unglamorous concept is glamorously portrait on silver screen.”,so full marks to the director and screenplay. In one line I can say correct Input has correct Output. Nice flow and perfect balance between the scenes and characters.
Well if the Direction and Screenplay is perfect then average performance can also be enough to drive the script. All the characters have done good work.
Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg), : The Unofficial leader of Group. Well I feel ‘Mark Wahlberg’ should not be the best choice for the Character of ‘Charlie Crocker’.But good to see that he justified his role. The key person behind the revenge plot.
Stella Bridger (Charlize Theron): Expert safe cracker. An emotional daughter looking for revenge from the person who killed her father.Awesome performance.Nice expression with complete balance body language. Her looks and performance is admirable.
Steve (Edward Norton): The Main Culprit. Thanks to the screenplay which will force you to feel that his character is strong. As par my opinion Norton was failed to produce that kind of fire which any one can expect from a culprit.
Overall good performance by rest of the characters.
Nothing New in this movie but the kind of work done by all the starcast along with director is remarkable. Watch it ,it is full of entertainment.
