MUKESH was born in Delhi on July 22,1923. His father, Lala Zorawar Chand Mathur, was an engineer. He wanted his son to follow his footsteps. Lalaji had engaged a teacher to teach music to his daughter. Mukesh would sit in the adjoining room and listen to the teacher. This was how he picked up the intricacies of music.
Mukesh had lovely voice. All sad songs could be sung only by Mukesh. I have selected some songs from his exclusive album; which I like most.

One of the best songs of Mukesh; It was on DilipKumar in ''Andaaz''(ORIGINAL); Composed by Naushad; written by Majrooh Sultanpuri;in 1949.

Sach hain duniyaan waalon, ke hum hain anaadee
