The great thing about Ghetto is it doesn’t try and be anything, unlike the numerous 'hang-outs' i've been to that struggle so hard for a theme or an identity.
Covered in graffiti illuminated by UV lights, the Ghetto is a suitably dark place to just chill out and have a mediumly priced drink with friends and good music.
Since I have long doubted the exact point of pubs where the music is too loud to actually talk with friends, I figure the music then should atleast be decent so that if nothing else you can just sit back and listen, and Ghetto luckily enough is one of the few pubs I have been to that doesn't fail to play a good range of music which doesn't pound into your brain and induce an early hangover.
For the social types, there is always someone or the other interesting to meet and even if the conversation does sometimes border on pretentious and 'oh, dude, ad-film making is an art, maaaan, it is as good as film making any day..' kind of conversation, atleast it is not blatantly unintelligent.
There is also a pool table for the more skilled of us so when all else fails, you can look on with feigned interest as you eat your free nuts.
All in all, a fairly pleasant experience. The ghetto is well situated and a nice laid back place to hang out and chill with friends. Cheers.
