The Fugitive which is one of the best movies of Harrison Ford, but it is Tommy Lee Jones who stand's out in the movie and this movie made him one of the top performers.
Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) has been tried, convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of his wife. While on the bus ride with other prisoners who are accompanying Dr. Kimble, stage an attempt to escape and when the driver of the bus loses control and plunges down on an embankment, straight ahead on a rail track, Dr. Kimble breaks free. Then enters the Federal Marshal (Tommy Lee Jones) arrives on scene to take charge of the search for the fugitive. Kimble flees Marshal and his men, and begins to search for his wife's killer - a mysterious one hand killer.
The plot is far from airtight, and there are a number of contrivances that come into play to bring about the resolution. How much you accept depends on how much license you're willing to give the film makers. Oddly, it should be admitted that this is an another chase movie, following the opening scenes, we're treated to over a half-hour of nonstop action.
Directed and photographed with a flair, this part of the movie keeps viewers on the edges of their seats. Tommy Lee Jones has given the best performance, and Harrison Ford best at what he does as usual.
