"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"** is an amazing theatrical work by director David Finch. First, its cinematography special effects, and make up is outstanding; lead actors Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, and Taragii Henson deliver powerful acting roles. I had heard so much talk and read very good reviews about this movie I thought "I must see it." After watching this motion picture I was very impressed with the above elements mentioned.
The story's concept of a man that ages backwards through time is amazing, and draws intrest to its viewers. The story takes place in the 1920s and in New Orleans during the first world war. It is wonderfully adapted by F. Scotts Fitzgerald's short story. At the opening of the film the tale of Benjaim Button is told by his estranged wife as she share her story to their daughter while in the hospital. The story continues when we see the story's lead character live a reversed life of happiness, romance, and sorrow until he reverts to infancy and die.
In this tale a strange child is born at the age of 80, and is cursed with a horrible appearance of an aging deformed shrubbled up old man, and infant has became hauntingly undesirable to his father, a wealthly enterprenar and factory owner of buttons. As a result, of Benjamin Button's birth his mother dies, and his father doesn't want him. He takes his son to a nursing home, and leave him on the steps enclosed with $18.00. It is the love and conviction of the nursing home attendant, Queenie portrayed by Tarajii P.
Henson that she adapts the baby and cares for him until he becomes an adult. In the interim Queenie shares and witness the strange phenominal life cycles of this strange child as she watches him age backwards.
