The Club is exactly the kind of place you should avoid going to even if your rich uncle hands you wads of dollar bills and BEGS you to go there. It can ruin your perception of 'cool' for life. I have to admit i've only been there once, but once was enough.
I also made the mistake of going when I was still a young impressionable teenager. I met up with a few brainless teens forced upon me by my mother, and off we headed in a car with conversation largely ranging from how drunk whoever was the night before and the sexual misadventures of some hated classmate.
On arrival there was the usual casual pulling out of much money, each person pretending to be richer than the next while I fumbled with my inadequate funding. Then was the ritual of everyone checking everyone else out which is puke inducing to say the least considering everyone is dressed up as badly dressed VJ-wannabes anyway.
Inside is not much better as a bunch of arbitrary lights flash on crowds of people sweatily attempting to have a good time and show off who they came with. The music is awful...i seem to remember trying to move to a techno version of some retarded boy band song.
But the worst is to hear people actually speak of it as if its some trendy place to be. These are the kinds of places that actually ruin young people, emptying their pockets whilst trying to seep into their minds, convincing them that this is the place to be if you want to be accepted as cool and happening in snotty superficial banglorean society. The truth is, the place is packed with wannabes dying to get an image when what they really need to be striving for is a brain.
whatever happened to the days of intelligent conversation and taste in music..and people who know their own minds.
