I must say, when I first saw the trailer “T3” I was filled with excitement and couldn’t wait for the release. We were planning to see it in the bolkiah cinema with Jeevithan and satya(movie freaks), in the end I’m glad I watched it on vcd. By the way, this is in Brunei, where movies are released as soon as they come out. So, I saw it a long time ago. But, after watching the first few minutes if it, I knew I was in for the disappointment.
Right from the beginning it failed to live up to my expectations, I’m a great fan of terminator 2 and have seen it many times, I’ve also seen T1. the entrance of “the terminator” is not even intimidating and the female terminator is really out of place, she looks nothing like a terminator.
Why is it the equivalent of Jurassic park 3, you ask? Well, all they do is run around trying to escape from the female terminator, and there’s hardly any attachment you feel to any of the characters. They do destroy a building or two in the process but even the action seems outa place, cause the plot does not build up before the action takes place, rather, the action is put in for the heck of it.
John Conner’s character is not played by the same guy and its like his whole character has changed, he’s no longer all cool and laid back. Instead he’s a geeky guy, and we wouldn’t know if it was the same character if the movie didn’t tell us. On top of that it’s a sucky plot, jugemnet day story is getting old.
I believe the movie could have been a LOT better, I seriously believe that Hrithick Roshan(or equivalent) would suit the role of the bad terminator. Anyways, its worth watching, but not in the cinema.
Cheers!
