TERE BIN LADEN: DEAD OR ALIVE: Male Bonding Laughathon

This is not about War and Peace. This is about War and Terrorism with Bollywood thrown in in adequate measures to be the icing on the rip-roaring cake. At most of the dialogues, you'll catch your stomach so that the intestines do not fall out. Characters're funny. Situations lead to fun and just about everything is creating spontaneous laughter.

Worthy sequel to TERE BIN LADEN(2010), this one is the first movie in two-months that has repeat value. The wait is worthwhile except one misses Ali Zafar(Ali Hassan), who has a cameo here. He is the rockstar in the song "Six Pack Abs". Totally rocking song. It'll bring the house down. He looks like Shahrukh Khan and that's an understatement.

Shetty sisters(NOT Shilpa and Shamita sillys but) producers-duo Pooja Deora and Aarti do credit to their father Manmohan Shetty and his company AdLabs by producing this rib-tickling fare.

I love comedies. They top my list of movies. TBLDOA provides succor or is like rain in parched land. Laughter keeps me alive and this one is right up my alley. Osama and Obama will never be out of news. And how can they be when news is Osama is alive despite America's claims.

Manish Paul, Praduman Singh, Piyush Mishra and Sikandar Kher keep the momentum going. While the US is crying hoarse to prove they've eliminated Osama; terrorist arms-dealer Khalili(Piyush Mishra) wants it otherwise.

And there is Sharma(Manish Paul), an aspiring Bollywood director desperate to prove his credentials. Sharma is actually Abhishek Sharma, director of TBLDOA. Manish fits Ali Zafar's worthy shoes ably. US operator / agent David Dosomething / Chaddha(Sikandar Kher) hires him to shoot a Hollywood film on(who else!) Osama aka Paddi Singh(Praduman Singh) being shot dead by US Seals in Abbottabad, Pakistan!

Here, all male characters're bonding with someone or the other. Ali Zafar(actor) is bonding with Manish Paul(director); Praduman Singh(Osama) is bonding with Iman Crosson(Obama); Sikandar Kher(Headley) is bonding with Piyush Mishra(arms dealer); and Chirag vora with Rahul Singh(voice artist). Along with the US and India, there is Afghanistan too.

In a male-dominated film, there is a sprinkling of female characters - Mia Uyeda(Junior) is David's assistant and Sugandha Garg(Osama's slutty wife). Mia is from Vancouver BC Canada.

U can't miss the David Hedley connection here. Chaddha's hidden motive is to get a fake video shot to prove Osama is indeed dead. And the rest, as they say, is history. I mean, his-story.

Last but not the least, Iman Crosson plays the character of Obama realistically well. He has an eerie resemblance to Obama. I'd suggest, also watch Kunal Roy kapoor's THE PRESIDENT IS COMING(2009), just to enhance your enjoyment.

I'll see it a second time. Definitely a third time too. It's worth every dollar spent. And I'll wait for Abhishek's next directorial on intolerance / freedom of expression HUME AITRAAZ HAI! He is a total genius, who knows his craft.
